Oh Crafty Joy

Look what was in the post two days ago!
A shoebox full (and I mean full) of lovely fabrics from this wonderful lady. (The garden is unfortunately not ours, it belongs to the lady next door).

...who has sent me these magazines before....

I like the yellow bit and the blue with the white flowers best. And the reds, and the browns... and...

Can you imagine that someone has actually ordered mittens from me??
So I got to work, baby on the lap, tea and knitting needles and everything in reach. The palm side of the mittens. They are from Elizabeth Zimmerman´s Knitters Almanac.
Yes, just like everything I've been knitting lately. But I like the idea that they'll go to Wisconsin, which is where the pattern was made years ago...

The next pair will be different. I have ordered some inspiration...

It´s gonna be a surprise, Laura!

Old And New Knits

Maybe I was too quick in promising something new...
Honestly, I m trying something else. Cables. Worms?
But still, all I come up with is another Tomten...which has been started four months ago and is now about to be finished.
The wool is a kaschmir/merino blend by Schoeller-Stahl and very soft and wonderful to knit.

A Saturday In The Café

I know I promised knitting news, but you still have to be patient . This saturday started with a parcel from USA. I am so happy that I ordered two bags from cutfingerproductions who make the most beautiful bags and pouches. You should visit their etsy shop, it's worth it.

Baby Tom testing his new CFP bib before going to the café.

Having a hot milk in the afternoon. Stylish burp cloth by cutfingerproductions.

I took this picture accidently. I wanted to switch off the camera and pressed the wrong button. Best picture anyway, I think. The guy with the ponytail is the french owner of the place.
And this is his old school italian coffeemachine ( that's the one at the bar that looks like R2D2).

Boys in black sweaters. More about knitting tomorrow.
